The typical SCNO engagement lasts for ten weeks and consists of five consultants, one team lead and four team members, collaborating with their nonprofit. The team receives support from an SCNO Executive Team member as well as an array of professional mentors in the consulting and nonprofit fields, all of whom provide feedback, guidance, and resources to the project team.
SCNO’s ultimate goal is to provide our nonprofit clients with invaluable strategic consulting that identifies opportunities for improving our clients’ abilities to pursue their missions. Our services are built upon the skills that our consultants have gained in school as well as those developed through internships and co-op experiences completed with professional organizations. The value of SCNO to our clients is our ability to share this knowledge with your organization.

The SCNO Process
1. ContactInterested nonprofit organizations begin the engagement process by contacting SCNO to schedule an initial interview.
2. AssessmentExperienced members of SCNO then meet with the leaders of the nonprofit to determine needs and opportunities.
3. AssignmentOnce both SCNO and the nonprofit make a commitment to the project, we staff the project with members that fit your unique situation.
4. ProjectDuring the project, SCNO members work closely with nonprofit employees on a regular basis. At each checkpoint, both organizations participate in an evaluation to ensure that the project is still on track to fulfill expectations.
5. PresentAt the end of the project, SCNO communicates the solution to the nonprofit representatives through a formal presentation and a written deliverable. We also ensure the existence of a support structure to maintain the solution post-project.
